Phobias

A phobia is an intense, persistent fear or anxiety related to a particular object, situation, activity, or environment. While fear is a natural response that can help keep us safe, a phobia can cause significant distress, avoidance, and disruption to everyday life.

Phobias can include fears of animals or insects, heights, flying, driving, medical procedures, needles, enclosed spaces, social situations, or other specific objects or situations. They may also cause physical symptoms such as a racing heart, sweating, trembling, shortness of breath, dizziness, or panic.

We provide compassionate, individualized support to help you understand your fears, develop coping strategies, build confidence, and gradually face situations that feel frightening or overwhelming. Depending on your needs and goals, therapy may incorporate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), exposure-based approaches, mindfulness, and other therapeutic strategies.

Exposure is approached gradually and collaboratively, at a pace that feels appropriate and manageable for you.

You don't have to let fear decide what you can or cannot do.
