Trauma & Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Safety. Understanding. Healing.
Traumatic experiences can affect how we feel, think, relate to others, and experience the world around us. We provide compassionate, trauma-informed support for individuals who have experienced abuse, childhood trauma, sexual assault, motor vehicle collisions, sudden or traumatic loss, suicide loss, serious accidents, violence, or other distressing experiences.
We also support first responders, veterans, and others exposed to traumatic or high-stress environments, including those experiencing post-traumatic stress, compassion fatigue, or vicarious trauma.
PTSD can develop following a traumatic event or repeated exposure to trauma. Symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares, intrusive memories, anxiety, hypervigilance, sleep difficulties, irritability, emotional numbness, avoidance, difficulty concentrating, depression, or feeling disconnected from yourself or others.
We provide individualized, trauma-informed support to help you understand your responses to trauma, process difficult experiences, develop coping strategies, and build a greater sense of safety, connection, and control. Depending on your needs and goals, therapy may incorporate EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and other therapeutic approaches.
Healing takes courage. You don't have to face the journey alone.
Accident & Injury Recovery: Motor Vehicle or Workplace Injury
Adjust. Recover. Rebuild.
Recovering from a motor vehicle or workplace injury can affect many areas of your life. Alongside physical injuries, you may experience pain, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, sleep difficulties, changes in concentration or memory, emotional distress, or challenges returning to work and everyday activities.
We provide compassionate, individualized support to help you navigate the emotional and psychological impact of an injury. Together, we work on coping strategies, rebuilding confidence, and gradually returning to the activities and routines that are meaningful to you.
When appropriate and with your consent, we can collaborate with your rehabilitation team, physicians, insurers, legal representatives, and other professionals involved in your recovery.
Recovery is a journey. You don't have to navigate it alone.
